The goal is to have people join a self-sufficient community of hard-working like-minded people, that live a low stress healthy lifestyle. While being prepared for power or food shortage. With a main goal of supporting each other as we grow old.
If you're the type of person that likes to work hard and would enjoy rustic living in a creek side tiny home in a close-knit community that supports each other, this may be right for you. People that live the longest have a strong sense of community, grow their own food and live a low stress life in a village of people that have a positive attitude. The whole idea behind this is to live a healthy, low stress secure lifestyle, so you have to be even tempered and good at conflict resolution.
One of the most important first steps in this plan is producing our own food in case of a pandemic economic collapse or food shortage. I plan to have a community garden a fruit orchard and a shiitake mushroom farm that we would all work on. As well as a large chicken coup.
We will create our own power through hydro, solar, and steam. I believe producing our own power is important due to the cost of electricity continuing to rise and the prediction of power outages occurring more frequently.
A very important part of this project is having the security of knowing you have a community to help you in case of injury, sever illness or age. While avoiding a rest home and staying connected to a group of good people you enjoy.
I believe that prepping is important for a couple of main reasons. First, I do not have faith in the way our supply chain operates after seeing what happened during the pandemic. I am also worried about the economy. In the case that food is ever hard to obtain I would like to be prepared.
On this large piece of property there are miles of trails for off road vehicles and hiking. A beautiful creek, ziplines and plans for a volleyball court putting greens, a pool, sauna, target practice range, horseshoes Ping-Pong and pool.
This is 80 acres of heavily forested land with an abundance of timber that we can thin and make lumber. We will be producing all the lumber needed to build tiny homes, decks, storage sheds and anything of the like.
Important information
One of the first things you need to know is that this is not the path of least resistance, it will take hard work and time to get things up and running. I already have a good start but there is still a lot to do. Once things are established it will be a low stress lifestyle with a good work recreation balance. The first year you will either be staying in a R.V that is already on the property or a trailer that you bring. Pets will be allowed on a preapproved basis. You will need to be an outdoorsy person. You do have to have to have an income. We will share the costs of electricity, equipment upkeep, insurance, taxes etc. There is already a lot of equipment on the property used to maintain the land. I have 2 mini excavators, a mini dump truck two side by sides a jeep, chainsaws, winches and other equipment (estimated costs of around 450$ a month). If you are not easy going, lazy or do not enjoy the outdoors, this is not the place for you. If you want to have access to 80 acres a large garden pools spas trails ziplines all in a supportive community where you don't have to worry about ending up in a rest home this is the place for you. There will be limited Wi-Fi and phone service depending on how far away from the main cabin you are staying. The main house has electricity and running water. If you have any mechanical skills or experience gardening, using a chainsaw, or carpentry that is a major plus. The property is 80 acres with miles and miles of trails and a creek running through it year-round. You will be able to use a plot of land to build a tiny home that will have plumbing and be heated with a wood burning stove. When it comes to food, you will have your own kitchen. We will also be building a large outdoor cooking area, a pizza/bread oven and plan on doing a lot of community cooking. I already have a smoker, dehydrator and Dutch oven as well as a barbeque. Willow creek (the closest town) is 10 minutes away, has a grocery store and a walk-in clinic. We also get amazon delivers to the property.
